Default Right mouse button to identify items

You've killed everything, you're done with an area. Now your bags are packed with stuff and some of those items are unidentified.

You could still double-click the Identification Kit and go where the unidentified item is.

OR

While you browse through your loot, you see an item to identify; click the right mouse button. A menu pops-up: "Identify this item (uses remaining: 98)". Select, done, next item...

Many times I browse through my loot, find something to identify, go back where the identification kit is, double-click, go back where the item was... where was it again?...

With this option a player could browse its loot and identify an item right on the spot. Right-click, select, done!

Note: Salvaging items should remain as it is, since it's a more delicate procedure.

It is a good idea.

There is a problem with people identifying and salvaging too fast, crashing the game. This might be a problem with the right-click identification.

I am not a fan of the menu, right click should idenfity immediately without further menu or popup.

not signed im afraid. just use the F9 window (shows every bag) to find items quicker.

The problem with this idea (good thought though to give you credit though) is that it helps identifying stuff, but salvaging would come next and that would fill up the "what incredibly rare thing did you salvage by mistake today" thread far too quickly.

Something like this would help a lot for me (I'm going for wisdom, and the biggest problem is that id-ing takes a lot of time ><)
so
/signed, with some modifications like Longasc said (immediate identify)

Immediate Identify could cause problems for those that want to sell unidentified gold items to other players.

Right-clicking would still be faster to identify items on the spot then to double-click on the Kit first.

Lol how hard is it to hover through... what the 20 slots in your backpack?

Are you really that lazy to take a second to think about what it was you wanted to identify?

It's not a BAD idea, it's just a really lazy one.

I dont think they can make this game any more "Lazy" than it already is. There is currently nothing wrong with the way it is right now...

If it aint broke, don't fix it!

After MANY hours playing you just want to get some things over with. After a while of continuous play it just gets plain redundant to have to double-click the identification kit and then go for the item.

I'm looking for efficiency here. When I thought of this I wasn't exactly lying on a couch eating grapes while at the same time trying to play the game...

I already suggested Shift-Click.

Since there's alreadya Shift-Move to split items, there should be no problem about that one.
